The silence Malaysians has finally spoken. Instead of just sitting down and complaining bout the increase of petrol prices, toll rates, croneyism, inflation, crime rates and cost of living (like they do year after year) and race polarisation, the people had finally voice it out. It is a war won by the people. The results of the 2008 general election reflects how frustrated of the people are with the current situation. For once, we see a more united and democratic Malaysians. It had been a great set back for the govenrment; losing 5 states and merely winning by simple majority. Whatever reason behind the swing of supports towards the opposition, the government should buck up and admit defeat graciously. Instead of finding faults and pointing fingers, they should start listening to the people and form a better government. For this I take my hat off Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon for admitting defeat and be gracious about it instead of some people who excuse himself to take a bath at home and never come back and now claiming back his position as a party leader. Well, to the oppositions, the rakyat had made their choice and had given a chance to this new group of people to prove themselve. Well, whether or not these new group of people will make a difference and keep to their words to form a better united multi-racial country..only time will tell.
